From an elementary-school classroom to a business pitch with Venture Capitalists, presenting and teaching well go hand-in-hand. To entertain and educate an audience, speakers need to carry audience members through their message with exciting and engaging materials. Here are 3 of Dog and Pony Show's favorite teaching tips to present with!
1. Show, Don't Tell

Visuals are a powerful tool in any presentation. Tastefully chosen clips, videos, images, and gifs can enhance the meaning of your presentation. Keeping your audience's attention is key to giving a successful speech
2. Share a Story

Everyone loves a good story. Make your points more compelling by interweaving them into a narrative. When data and facts are presented with a plot hill, it makes information retention and audience engagement much more absorbable.
3. Be Yourself

Authoritarian-style speaking is not your most effective tool in a classroom. Rather, present more conversationally and show your personality. Informal speaking styles will make you more relevant and remembered.
